Rhythmic Gymnasts to Participate in SA Nationals in
Pretoria
A 28
member team of the Namibian Gymnastics Federation NGF
will take part in the South African National
Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics from the 3rd
to the 6th of October 2007 in Pretoria.
The
gymnasts of the Levels 4 – 8 qualified for the NGF team
at the First National Bank Qualifying Competition that
was held in Windhoek in July. Furthermore three groups
were selected, namely the Free Dance and Hoop Groups
from SKW Gymnastics Academy as well as the Ball Group
from Walvis Bay.
The
NGF team consists of 17 rhythmic gymnasts from SKW
Gymnastics Academy, 7 from Walvis Bay and 3 from Tsumeb.
The
next event and highlight on the national events calendar
for this year is the National Championship for Rhythmic
Gymnastics, Trampoline and Tumbling on the 18th
and 19th of October 2007 in Walvis Bay.

SKW Gymnastics Academy Hosts Successful Competition for
Novice and Intermediate Gymnasts
More
than 40 gymnasts participated in the SKW Rhythmic
Gymnastics Competition on 22nd of October
2007, among them 4 gymnasts from Tsumeb Gymnastics Club.
Gymnasts from Level 1 – 5 attended the competition and
achieved excellent scores.

Tumblers to SA Nationals
The
Namibian Gymnastics Federation has selected a team of 21
gymnasts to participate in the South African National
Championships for Trampoline & Tumbling from the 24th
to the 27th of September 2007 in Pretoria.
Among them are 7 tumblers of SKW Gymnastics Academy who
will be accompanied by their coach Dmitriy Lepekha.
The
gymnasts of SKW Gymnastics Academy are Molina Smalley
and Fanie Holtzhausen (Entry Level 2), Jean Holtzhausen
(Entry Level 2 and mini-trampoline), Marietta Kuivanen
(Level 1 and mini-trampoline), Angus Weich and Nguaiko
Kaperu (Level 2 and mini-trampoline) as well as Kaylee
Green (Level 3 and mini-trampoline).
