Cymot SKW vs African Stars – MTC NFA Cup Semi Final
When Cymot SKW takes to the field against African Stars on Saturday afternoon, 17:00, at the Khomasdal Stadium it will be the 5th encounter between these two teams in Cup competitions over the last 2 years. Looking back at the results of those games it becomes very clear that Stars have had an upper hand over Cymot SKW. A short review would read as follows:

On top of that African Stars are the defending champions of the MTC NFA Cup, having beaten Orlando Pirates on penalties in last year’s edition of this competition. Based on this, one would assume that African Stars start as favorites. But a recent turn of fortune has seen SKW dominating both the League and Cup games that they have played against the defending champions. Cymot SKW has not lost against Stars in any of their last three encounters having beaten them twice with one game ending in a two all draw. However, as most football players will tell you, Cup games are governed by their own rules and neither recent results nor historic victories are a good indicator of who will be the winner on the day. Mostly it is the team that shows more passion and a greater willingness to win that will earn the right to a spot in the Final.
